The Career Guidance Cell gives the students information about the various courses offered by the colleges under the universities in Kerala and the neighbouring states and also offers advise regarding their job prospects. It also holds meetings with parents with a view to disseminating details about the various academic avenues open before their wards.
F.M.N.College is an approved placement location for many companies and the placement cell makes liaison with these companies and arranges for career placement.

Classes are given periodically to help students face the tests and interviews held by the major recruiting agencies. Specially – trained teachers are appointed for giving personal counselling and academic counselling to students. One of them will be always available at the Guidance and Counselling Centre.
As part of students' guidance and counselling, the class teacher system functions very effectively in our college. It aims at building up a better student community by maintaining discipline and order among students. The ‘open house system’ introduced recently gives an opportunity for the parents and teachers to meet together and discuss the problems and progress of the students concerned. A class teacher-cum-counsellor is in charge of each class. S/he monitors the attendance and progress of the students of the class. S/he directs group activities like excursions and socials. All applications for leave, financial help, conduct certificate etc. should be forwarded through him/her.
